With the rains coming late this year, it took a while for the mosquito populations to build up.

A WNV lab-confirmed case in a horse from San Juan County has recovered and two lab-confirmed human cases, one from San Juan County and one from Rio Arriba County. Both human cases had neuroinvasive disease and are recovering.
